About 10 years ago, special orthopedic “cocoons” were invented for premature babies.

These "cocoons" are made of very soft foam material. A baby can safely stay in such a “cocoon” for a long time.

But it turned out that such “cocoons” are also convenient for ordinary, normally born babies.

The company that produced these “cocoons” quickly increased production, making them a very popular product.

Despite all the advantages, the “cocoons” had one drawback: they were so soft and pliable that it was impossible to carry a baby in them.

Faced with this problem, the company that sold these “cocoons” asked me to make a basket for conveniently carrying the baby in this “nest.”

I had to develop several options for baskets, from which the company chose the most successful one for mass production.

Since then, the design of this basket has become a classic for these “cocoons”, and I (without knowing it) became the author of a large family of “nest” baskets for babies....
